Hey there!

So I have not been on very much lately and the reason for that is I recently found out I’m going to be a mommy this coming October!

I will get back to posting on here shortly.

:)

Q
Hi Kaitlyn, I hope you don't mind me asking but how and when did you decide that becoming a wedding planner was the career for you? Or is it just something you do on the side of another job?
A

Hi!

While wedding planning is technically a side job I really got into it while helping plan my cousin’s wedding. I would love to make a full time career out of it when I move to a better location.

Thank you for asking!

dawn-and-dusk-justice:

There’s something so beautiful when someone is accepted into a culture and a community. What’s more beautiful is this couple with the very loving and accepting families that are joyed to see such a union.

Sometimes I get sad when I know some folks here would hiss at the bride for wearing the traditional Indian wedding garb, and others would hiss at the groom for choosing a bride out of his “community and culture”.

This post was inspired by some several comments I’ve been seeing of some folk saying that men/women of their ethnicity/races are being weak and stupid for marrying outside of their cultures, and the only thing I can come up with is how can you deny the happiness that’s so obvious in those pictures?

Is culture much more important than love? Is race and ethnicity much more than mutual understanding, respect, and love?
